How we got started? Our co-founder and CEO Rami Akkad began a side business managing short-term rental apartments and throughout the process, he realized that he's spending between 2-3 hours a day sending welcome messages, check-in information, pictures, recommendations, answering guest questions about any and all amenities/appliances/parking and the list goes on.

Started by envisioning ideas and testing various models where he can ease the property management experience, increase revenue for hosts, and at the same time provide guests with a smoother stay through a next-generation interactive digital welcome guide.

The name "Tafudal" originated from the middle-eastern culture which means you are welcome and is primarily said to guests when they visit your home.
